About MTG Life

MTG Life is a free set of tools for Magic: The Gathering players. It is an independent project, built and run by a single Magic player, with no ads, no accounts, and nothing to install.

What it is

The goal is simple: make the everyday parts of playing and building Magic decks fast, free, and honest. Everything runs in your browser. There is no signup, no paywall, and no email required to use any of it.

• Life Counter is a life and commander-damage tracker for 2 to 8 players, with poison and energy counters. It installs to your phone home screen and works offline.
• Deck Cost Optimizer reads each card in a Commander decklist and finds cheaper cards that do the same job, matched by what the card actually does, priced at the cheapest printing.
• Price Tracker is a daily price chart and watchlist for every Magic card, saved in your browser.
• Top Commanders, Budget Commanders, Price Spikes, Fun Commanders, and EDH Staples refresh automatically every day.

Where the data comes from

Card data, images, and prices come from Scryfall (prices are TCGplayer market values, cheapest printing, Near Mint). Deck popularity and commander trends come from EDHREC. Prices can move daily and may not match a store's live price, so always confirm on the retailer's page before you buy.
